Why 93%

  • Works without the cloud+3Homey Pro runs automations locally, with Zigbee, Z-Wave, Thread and Matter.
  • Our estimate93%

The good news: With LG behind it, Homey has a large owner that wants to use it to connect other brands to its ThinQ platform. Homey Pro runs your automations locally, so it keeps working without the internet.

The bad news: Homey’s app store depends on community and company developers, so support for some devices can lag. LG could also change Homey’s focus to fit its own plans.

If you own Homey

  • Make regular backups of your Homey Pro.
  • Prefer Matter, Zigbee or Z-Wave devices, which also work with other hubs.
