Smart home tech is supposed to make our lives easier, more convenient, and a little bit cooler. But between confusing wireless protocols, endless spec sheets, and corporate marketing fluff, just trying to buy a smart lightbulb or secure your front door can feel like a chore.

That’s exactly why I started SmartCorgi. My goal is simple: to strip away the dense engineering jargon and translate the latest tech news, reviews, and guides into plain, normal language that anyone can understand. No elitism, no over-complication, just practical, honest advice to help you build a smarter home.

I’ve been taking things apart to see how they work for about as long as I can remember. That curiosity never went away, it just kept finding new subjects to explore. From mechanics to electronics, from software to hardware, I work with all of it, both professionally and in my own projects.

Smart home tech is a natural next thing to be curious about, and I’ll be honest, I’m still learning a lot of it myself.
