The good news: Cync is sold everywhere, and its newer products support Matter, so they can work with Apple Home, Google Home or Home Assistant without Cync’s app.
The bad news: In 2023 Cync ended support for its C-Reach bridge: it can no longer be re-paired, and a router change disconnects it for good. Cync also said older products can never get Matter.
If you own GE Cync
- If you still use a C-Reach, avoid resetting it or changing your Wi-Fi name, since it cannot be set up again.
- Pick Matter versions when you buy new Cync products.
