The good news: A Generac generator starts on its own when the power goes out, with or without the app, and Generac is a large company with a strong home energy business.
The bad news: Remote monitoring and alerts depend on Generac’s cloud, and some features need a paid plan.
If you own Generac
- Have your generator serviced regularly, since the app is only a monitor.
- Check what your Mobile Link plan includes before it renews.
