The good news: TCL is huge, and because its TVs run Google TV or Roku, the smart features depend on those big platforms rather than on TCL alone.
The bad news: TCL gives little information about how long its TVs get software updates, and budget models often stop getting them after a few years.
If you own TCL
- If the smart features ever slow down or stop, a streaming stick brings the TV up to date.
- Install updates when the TV offers them.
