It operates perfectly in extreme temperatures ranging from -13 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. You can mount it on a wooden garden gate or a metal shed without worrying about weather damage. While many users have to fight to keep devices online and fix yard connection drops, Abode uses a specific 433 MHz radio frequency. This lower frequency pushes through exterior walls and metal gates far better than standard wireless signals.

Standard magnetic sensors do not work well on garage doors that roll or fold upwards. The Abode Garage Tilt Sensor takes a completely different approach by tracking the physical angle of the device. If the door tilts more than 45 degrees, the sensor registers the space as open.
