Yeelight is preparing a major smart home expansion before the end of the year. A newly leaked product roadmap reveals that the brand will release eight brand-new smart devices, and every single one uses the latest Matter-over-Thread standard. This expansion will make it much easier to build a fast, reliable smart lighting setup without worrying about ecosystem locks.
A massive rollout of smart hardware
Yeelight already released a few updated devices, including standard bulbs, light strips, and a desk lamp. The newly uncovered roadmap shows that eight more products will launch across the third and fourth quarters of this year.
The upcoming product list covers a wide variety of household categories:
- Smart Ceiling Light S1: A ceiling fixture coming in two sizes (320mm and 450mm). It features dual light zones with functional downfacing white light and upward-projected RGB ambient lighting.
- Smart Ceiling Light E1: A second, streamlined ceiling fixture option.
- Smart Ceiling Fan S1: An integrated ceiling fan with built-in smart lighting.
- Smart Plug E1: A compact smart plug to control standard appliances.
- Smart Switch D1: An in-wall smart switch for controlling existing room circuits.
- Smart Desk Lamp S1: An advanced task light for office setups.
- Smart GU10 Bulb D1: A spotlight bulb designed for recessed or track lighting.
- Smart PIR Motion Sensor D1: A motion sensor designed to trigger local automations.
In addition to these eight products, a new Yeelight Bedside Lamp D1 appears close to release after showing up in recent manufacturer catalog updates.
The benefits of Thread connectivity
Every device on this list communicates directly using Matter over Thread. Instead of connecting directly to a crowded home Wi-Fi network, these devices talk to one another over a Thread mesh network. This keeps your primary internet bandwidth clear and ensures near-instant response times when triggering automations or turning on lights.
Because these accessories support the universal Matter standard, you can pair them directly to Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, or Samsung SmartThings without needing a dedicated Yeelight bridge.

Yeelight has not officially announced exact launch dates or retail pricing for the upcoming devices. However, all eight models are scheduled to roll out through major online retailers before the end of the fourth quarter.
